The Annual Walnut Hills Baptist Men's Golf outing was held on September 22, 2007, at Kisiack Golf Club. It should be noted that we don't use this annual outing to raise funds. It is conducted for the purpose of just being together and sharing our fellowship with one another and giving God the glory. A total of 43 participants enjoyed a beautiful Saturday morning and fellowship with others. Our outing also include two ladies from Walnut Hills, Carol Bennett and Carla Brittle who have been regular participants for several years. They added a really nice touch to their foursome.
Three generations also played on Saturday, Terry Tyler Sr., Terry Jr. and Chris Tyler; and, Jim Sexton, Jay Sexton and Jamie Sexton. We sincerely hope this "family tradition" will continue for many years to come and that others will begin. Pete Fowler once told me that God loves golfers equally as much as fishermen. Just look what he has done for our Pastor and we love him for it. He is a welcome addition to this event.
We have always invited other Baptist churches to join us and this year Menchville Baptist Church and Smith Memorial participated. They not only participated but won the trophies for the Championship and First Flights.
We thank God for a beautiful day and the fellowship shared. Sorry Pete couldn't be with us. He was missed.
