Our Children’s Choir presented their spring musical “Donkey Tales” on Sunday, June 3rd. It is amazing how Jean Haywood and Bill Eanes mold our children into stars. This very difficult Musical/Drama was inspiring. We thank all those who assisted and helped behind the scenes. We look forward to resuming our Children’s Choir rehearsals in the fall.

Sunday, July 15 our church will recognize Carolyn Sandidge on her 10th Anniversary as Organist at Walnut Hills. Please take time to thank her for her talent and all she does for our church. Congratulations Carolyn!

The Adult Choir is operating on the summer rehearsal schedule through Wednesday, July 18th. We rehearse from 6:30pm until 7:45pm in the choir room. If you were thinking about joining our choir, this is a great time. We laugh, fellowship and sing together as we prepare for Sunday
worship services.

Father’s Day was Sunday, June 17th. The Baptist Men provided excellent music and testimonies focusing on “Living Their Faith”. We appreciate Pete Fowler, Tony Neal and Andy Yeatts who collaborated in the planning of this worship service. We thank all those who participated
in this year’s service.

Please don’t forget the Deacon sponsored July 4th Picnic followed by the Patriotic Concert featuring the York River Concert Band. The Picnic begins at 4:00pm and the concert will begin at 6:00pm and last around forty-five to fifty minutes, with plenty of time to enjoy the Williamsburg fireworks.

The July ensemble rehearsal schedule is as follows.

  • Men’s Ensemble Wed, July 11th 6:00 PM
  • Ladies’ Ensemble Wed, July 18th 6:00 PM
  • Men’s Ensemble Wed, July 25th 6:00 PM
