Ask, Seek, and Knock Prayer Vigil

For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks. (Matthew 7:7-8, NLT)

Walnut Hills will have a 12-hour prayer vigil on Saturday, November 3, from 8 am to 8 pm in the sanctuary. The Deacons will start and end the day of prayer. Time periods for 24 church groups will be assigned to pray, each for one-half hour.

What is a prayer vigil? It will be a day of spiritual preparation. We will ask, seek, and knock as our Lord has commanded us. We will pray specifically:

  1. For church members by name;
  2. For our impact on our community; and
  3. For what the Lord might do through us to accomplish His purpose.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children with them. A leader in each group will direct our prayers. We invite all members to participate. Individuals that might not be in one of the assigned groups may pray at any time in the sanctuary or in the prayer room. We may also pray silently.

Our vigil will be based on the Scriptures.

Be a participant in a prayer vigil on November 3 as we lift our prayers for church members, community, and vision.
