On January 30, 2008 the Missions & Evangelism Council was established as a ministry of Walnut Hills Baptist Church during the Annual Business Meeting.
The 2008 objectives of the Council are to:
The present Council consists of the following areas:
Becoming a member of the Missions & Evangelism Council is by interest and passion for an area of mission involvement or evangelism outreach rather than by nomination committee process or as a result of involvement in another group. The normal term for an ongoing area will be one year, but a Council member may serve for additional years as desired or needed. A member may also join the Council during the period of time when he or she is in charge of a Council approved project.
The following areas are still open. Do they match your passion for service?
Publicity / Media Team
Works with the publicity committee / media to ensure missions and evangelism endeavors are appropriately "advertised" and celebrated within the church and the community
Discipleship / Spiritual Development
Interaction with the Minister of Education to ensure educational opportunities which emphasize the discipleship and spiritual aspects of missions (special S.S. lessons, studies focused on missions).
The next M&E Council meeting is March 24 at 7pm. If you have anything you wish to bring to the Council at that meeting, please contact K. J. Proctor at 253-0910 or

Missions & Evangelism Council
We hope you had the opportunity to meet Pastor Igor Bandura during his recent visit to Walnut Hills! It was a great time to lean about the Ukraine and the outreach of Grace Baptist Church.
Did God inspire you to look at missions in a new light? Did He speak to you about involvement in this ministry connection or in another that came from these days of sharing?
If so, we invite you to come and share your new found passion for outreach with the Missions & Evangelism Council. We encourage you to make your ministry a focused, intentional outreach that can be church wide. We look for "champions" to lead new ministries and would prefer not to launch one without a committed team leader in place.
Thank you for being an open, welcoming church; one that is ready to share and enjoy the fellowship of an eternal Brother in Christ from so far away. We are, truly, the family of God.
If you would like to reach the Missions & Evangelism Council with your ideas and plans for new ministry, please contact K. J. Proctor or any of the other Council members listed in the "Mission and Evangelism Corner" article.
