Our August Box Ministry – supporting the Virginia Indian children with school supplies. WOM will have twenty-four back packs to fill with school supplies. Items needed for Kindergarten to 8th grade are: #2 yellow pencils, erasers, small box of crayons (24 or less), bottles of Elmer’s glue & glue sticks, highlighters, pens, colored pencils, dry-erase markers, rulers, blunt end scissors, Primary Journal by Mead, loose leaf wide rule paper, wide rule note books, hard covered composition notebooks, 3-ring binders (1 1/2″ and l”), spiral notebooks, note cards, and handheld pencil sharpeners. The entire list for each class posted near the ministry box at the top of the stairs.
Once again our church family has been asked to provided desserts for the Chinese Church on Wednesday evenings. They enjoy our American desserts and wish to fellowship with those that bring these goodies. Call Leslie (253-8713) or sign-up on the sheet provided in the side foyer of the church. Desserts are needed each Wednesday through August 29. Deliver no later than 6:15pm in the downstairs classroom in the youth building.

- 18th PBA WMU Workshop open to all ladies interested in being involved with missions. Join us to learn how to plug into your passion for missions. This event is being held at Memorial Baptist in Hampton from 9am to 12noon. We can take one of the church vehicles if we have enough interest. Call Leslie 253-8713.
- 22nd Women on Mission Leadership Team meeting in the church library at 10am .
Be in prayer for our WMUV teams that will be journeying to Standing Rock, leaving on July 31st through August 5th. Also, be in prayer for Pastor Boots and his wife Jackie and the native Americans in the different communities of the Reservation.
